CASA REX VILANKULO

Directions to Casa Rex: From the turn off at Pambarra it is 22 km to Vilankulo. At the main junction as you arrive in town turn left (at Bank Austral) and then left again just before Milenium Bank, Casa Rex is in front of you as you get to the top of the hill.

Casa Rex now offers travellers a sublime stopover in Vilankulo. Reminiscent of a gracious era, its buildings encompassed in lush gardens, Casa Rex overlooks the southern-central section of Vilankulo Bay.

Accommodation is charmingly decorated in an individual style with an emphasis in the lounge and dining areas on custom crafted wood furniture and fittings. With bathrooms en-suite, all rooms offer a breezy perspective of the bay. For maximum comfort, airy mosquito nets are hung and windows are fitted with shutters against the occasional rain shower. The Acacia rooms have air-conditioning and internet access.

The Bazaruto Archipelago is made up of several tropical islands and includes some awesome reefs which are home to a diverse array of marine life. As a result there are a host of water sports available in the area including world class deep sea fishing, scuba diving and snorkelling. Activities can be booked through the Casa Rex management (prices available on request).

The renowned a la carte restaurant offers guests a magnificent array of fresh seafood dishes and both local and imported wines. Sip sundowners on the terrace or refresh yourself in the swimming pool overlooking the harbour – the perfect way to end the day ….. or begin one.
