Set in the remote area of Inhambane, Mozambique known as the land of the good people lies the tropical resort of Guinjata situated in the Jangamo area. This family run resort started 1997 with a few reed Baracas and chalets and over the years has transformed into one of the top resorts in Mozambique.

Guinjata Resort offers the holidaymaker superb upper class accommodation in 4 – 8 bedroom chalets

. For larger groups or families, the 8-bedroom chalet can accommodate up to 17 people.

Campsites are also available, tents can be set up under a baraca in well-shaded tropical surroundings.

GETTING THERE

Guinjata Resort is approximately 550km north of Maputo and 25km south of Inhambane on the coast (GPS : 24 04' 402' South, 035 29' 726' East). The road leading to the resort is a dirt road and only accessible with a 2x4 with difflock or 4x4 vehicle. Transfers from Inhambane can be arranged for people with Sedan vehicles, busses, kombi's etc. A 25km transfer from the airport to Guinjata will take you through the heart of the coconut plantations.

Comfortable 2-8 Bedroomed fully equipped self catering chalets, which are serviced daily, to sheltered camping (baracas). We also offer catered options where meals are served at the Beach Bar & Restaurant.

The Conference Room offers everything you'll need in a relaxed atmosphere. Flipcharts, pens, TV and Video machine available. Custom-made packages can be arranged for your specific needs. The facility can comfortably hold up to 30 people cinema-style.

Guinjata Resort uses 2x8m rubber ducks for diving charters. There are also Bauer compressors and airbanks on site to fill cylinders.

PADI Courses
Guinjata Resort features a fully equiped and certified PADI instruction facility, complete with a training pool for scuba only.

Guinjata Resort has full time Dive Masters and Instructors on site. The PADI scuba diving courses range from Resort courses, full Open Water Courses a well as Dive Master Courses.
